Maersk WnD wanted a centralized way to see what was happening across mechanized facilities, recognize problems faster, and direct the right response. The answer became a Network Operations Center connecting warehouse controls, operational data, and live facility context.

The challenge
Facilities were being monitored independently. Critical information lived across warehouse control systems, sensors, cameras, reports, service tools, and local teams—making it harder to form one clear picture of network conditions.
Maersk needed more than a room full of screens. It needed an operating model that could bring the right signals together, help engineers understand what an alert meant physically, and make the next action easier to coordinate.
Maersk WnD engaged Andrew Haner and IES to help define the approach and identify the right partner for the Network Operations Center.
The IES role
IES served as the bridge between the operational need, the physical command-center environment, the technology partners, and Maersk’s internal teams.

Bring in multiple vendors, run demonstrations, compare the options against the operational requirements, and guide the selection of Haivision.
Oversee the middleware integration, help Maersk teams shape KPI reporting in Power BI, and coordinate the information sources feeding the command-center view.
Work with Maersk’s construction resources on the room itself and oversee installation of the selected video-wall system with the implementation partner.

The first implementation established the shared monitoring environment and proved the operating concept.
The work later extended to a second command-center environment at Maersk’s New Jersey technology center.

Haivision’s published account describes a centralized monitoring environment combining real-time facility context with the systems teams use to understand and act on equipment conditions.
The source attributes meaningful operating value to the NOC without relying on an unverified percentage or time-saving claim.

The NOC succeeded because the operational owner, integrator, internal teams, and specialist vendors each brought a different part of the solution.
Andrew Haner and IES guided the concept, vendor evaluation, integration work, KPI coordination, physical buildout, and implementation.
Maersk owned the operational capability and supplied internal engineering, reporting, construction, and operating resources. Haivision supplied the Command 360 video-wall platform and implementation support.
Watchdog Technology Solutions provided the subsequent camera layer across facilities. Watchdog is a separate company founded and owned by Andrew Haner.
What this shows about IES
IES can recognize the operating need, translate it into a technical and physical concept, find the right specialist partners, and stay involved through integration and construction.
The same approach applies at a smaller scale: a growing 3PL may need one better workstation, a clearer WMS workflow, or a practical view across three buildings. The solution should fit the operation—not the other way around.
